Judy and Bob met and married in 1967 in Daytona Beach, Florida where Bob was attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Judy had returned to Florida after working at Emory University and being a Stewardess for Delta Airlines and had begun a job in the placement office at the university when Bob was in his final year. Just after their wedding they moved to Hartford, Connecticut where Bob began his career as an Aeronautiful Engineer.  However their love for the warm southern climate called to them after five years, so when their children Beth and Tony were ages four and one they made their way back to Florida.

Eventually settling in Jacksonville, Florida, Bob and Judy have resided there for thirty years, with the hope of remaining there at least another thirty years! During the ten years Judy worked with a Real Estate Appraiser in Jacksonville, she also spent time helping out at the Georgie Girl fashion boutique. There she learned to plan fashion shows and how to run a retail business. She opened her own boutiques Georgia Girl of Mandarin and Judy's of Mandarin, carrying a unique line of clothing and accessories. This endeavor was a joy for Judy as she had her daughter Beth working with her as well as her  friend Debbie MacDonald. In addition to working with a great group of people and having faithful customers, she also planned, created and moderated many fashion productions.
