![]() Tommy Reach, at age 14, stands by our new Chevrolet in front of our house on Spring Street in 1954 The Reach Family had some wonderful years in Decatur, just outside of Atlanta. Daddy had taken a job as a Special Revenue agent in the Georgia State Capitol Building and we were leaving Waycross to start a new adventure. When Kenny, Tommy and I first glimpsed the huge skyline of Atlanta we knew this was going to be something fun and exciting. We left the home Mother and Daddy had built in Waycross to a new brick ranch house on Spring Street. A whole new world was opening to us. This journey on which we were embarking had us feeling a little uncertain. We also felt excitiment knowing that what lay ahead for our family would be full of joys mixed with sorrows, delights plus heartaches, and different paths being taken by each of us. Each of those paths would be leading us to our own individual destiny. I knew one thing for sure... We would continue Reaching for Life ![]() ![]() Judy's Story of Decatur is Next
I am half way through this book about our Family years in Decatur, Georgia from 1952 to 1959. With my teen years coming on and lots of exciting changes with the Reach Family it has already been a joy to start remembering these most eventful years. We may have moved to the city, but there is still a lot of small town and warm family thoughts to relate. Always with a touch of humor. 'A little laughter along life's path makes the journey that much sweeter' Just a little thought from me to you Now please keep the good thoughts and ideas coming for this next edition. I cannot wait to continue!
